Helm Pass

Terms and conditions

Effective 3 November 2026

These terms apply to the Helm Pass app for iPhone, iPad and Android (the app), made by Marko Zanoski (we, us). By installing or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. A study aid, not an official source

Helm Pass is an independent study aid. It is not linked to the ministry or any harbour master's office and issues no licences. Rules change; for the exam and at sea, the rules in force in Narodne novine and the board's decisions apply. We do not promise that you will pass.

2. Your license

You get a personal, non exclusive, non transferable license to use the app on your own devices. The app and everything in it remain ours. You may not copy, resell, decompile or redistribute them, except where the law allows it.

3. Purchase and refunds

The download is free. Pro is a one time in app purchase through the App Store or Google Play, at the price the store shows. Refunds follow Apple's or Google's policy. If a purchase is refunded, Pro locks again. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under consumer law.

4. Updates

We may release updates that add, change or remove content. We cannot promise the app will work on every device and every future system version.

5. No warranty

The app is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we make no promise that it is error free or fit for a particular purpose.

6. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect loss, for loss at sea or for the result of an exam. Our total liability is limited to the price you paid. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

7. Privacy

How the app handles data is in the privacy policy, which is part of these terms.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. The new version will be on this page with a new date.
