Helm Pass is a study app for the Croatian boat licence exam, category B, for iPhone, iPad and Android, made by Marko Zanoski. The short version: the app sends nothing anywhere. Everything stays on your device.

Our promises

No accounts and no sign in.
No ads and no advertising identifiers.
No analytics, crash reporting or tracking libraries.
No selling or sharing of data, because we do not collect any.

Billing (Android)

To buy Pro through Google Play. It is the only permission.

Internet: denied by design

The Android app does not ask for the internet, so Android itself stops it from sending anything. The iPhone and iPad app sends nothing either.

The app does not ask for location, camera, microphone, contacts or notifications.

What stays on your device

Your progress: your answers, oral items, mock exam results and exam date.
Your settings: language, look and text size.

None of it leaves your device through the app. On Android it is also left out of backups. On iPhone and iPad, iOS may include it in your own device backup, under Apple's policies.

Purchases

You buy Pro through the App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google handles the payment under its own privacy policy. We never see your name, email or payment details. The app only receives the store's confirmation that Pro was bought.

Children

The app collects no data from anyone, children included.
